Bed And Breakfast In Metro Vancouver – Your Next Destination B&B
April 15, 2010
There are many different bed and breakfasts in and around the Vancouver area. Locals regard Vancouver as one of the best places to live. The 2010 Winter Olympics showed the world that Vancouver is a piece of paradise in the Pacific Northwest. This area is rich with beauty: mountains, oceans, beaches, forest paths and parks compete with each other for everyone’s attention.
One of Metro Vancouver’s greatest assets is its peaceful multicultural society. B&B owners reflect that culture and style in this beautiful area called the lower mainland of Vancouver. Most are private residences in quiet neighbourhoods but there are also boutique hotels; even yachts and boathouses. Read more
Sringtime Holiday in Vancouver BC
March 5, 2010
Some may call it Global warming because Vancouver had the warmest February on record during the 2010 Olympic Games. I call it Olympic Gold Fever! It seemed as soon as we won our First Gold medal the pink plumb trees opened their flower buds from joy, because the whole region was cheering so loudly. With each gold medal that was won more tree buds opened up, first, the white plumb trees, than the magnolias and now we have the pink cherry trees in bloom thought our area.
This is an exciting time to be taking a holiday in Vancouver. Like the trees the spring flowers are fully out and the lime green of the wiping willows is doted everywhere. Read more

We walked about 4 short blocks to the 351 Bus, which took us to the Canada Line Sky Train, Bridgeport Station (35 min). At the Canada Line Station we squeezed in with hundreds of others to go to the Waterfront terminus (22 min). The Sky Train station brought us to Coal Harbour, Historic Gas Town, Canada Place and the New Convention Centre. Read more

November 1, 2009
White Rock BC is spectacular in the fall and winter months. The days become cooler and leaves crunch under your feet, the winds blow across the ocean and the leaves are beautiful in orange, red and brown. White Rock has quite mild fall and winter temperatures and here you get more sunshine than any other part of the lower mainland and surrounding communities of Vancouver.
Visitors are pleasantly surprised by the mild temperatures and often comment that they have many misconceptions about the weather. It is often thought that there is a lot of snow and very cold weather. It is simply not true! White Rock enjoys mild winters with temperatures ranging from 0 to 15 degrees Celsius (32 – 60 degrees F). We typically do not get snow, or if we do, it does not last long! Read more
